Sent this email to the company today: 'Hello, I am a shareholder in North Energy and would like to ask some questions related to the company's cost level and the work to create and make visible value for all shareholders. As I perceive the company today, the values in North Energy mainly consist of the ownership interests in Reach Subsea, as well as other more limited financial investments. Against this background, it seems natural to assess whether the company's salary and fee costs are in a reasonable proportion to the operational activity and the added value created for the shareholders. In the q2 report, it appears that management and the board receive total remuneration at a level that constitutes a not insignificant cost for the company. (Approx 7,5 million) At the same time, several of the largest shareholders are directly or indirectly represented in the management and the board. This makes it particularly important that all shareholders can see how these costs contribute to increased shareholder value over time. I would therefore like to ask for management's assessment of the following: * How do the board and management assess that today's salary and fee level relates to the company's activity and value creation? * What concrete measures are being implemented to make visible and realize the underlying values in North Energy for the benefit of all shareholders? * How is the company working to reduce any discount between the company's market value and the value of the underlying assets? * What goals and criteria are used to assess whether management's work creates added value beyond what shareholders could have achieved through direct ownership in the underlying investments? * Has the board considered alternative capital structures or measures that can contribute to increasing the valuation and return for shareholders? I would appreciate it if you could explain how you view these questions, and how you are working to ensure that value creation benefits all shareholders. Thank you in advance for your reply.'

North Energy is valued today at around NOK 264 million, while the value of the company's Reach Subsea investment alone is estimated at around NOK 308 million after today's share price increase. The market thus values North at less than the value of the Reach holding alone. In addition, there are cash and investments in, among others, Petrofac, Fugro, Wind Catching Systems, Interoil and other assets. Petrofac represents a potential upside. North owns bonds with a nominal value of USD 18.8 million, purchased at a significant discount. A recovery of 20 % corresponds to approximately USD 3.8 million in value, while a higher recovery can provide further value appreciation. The discount looks unusually large and the downside very limited if Reach Subsea develops as well as today's q2 report shows. Or have I miscalculated? It will be exciting to see tomorrow :)

The answer is unfortunately that Onarheim has chosen to be a scoundrel. And the reason this can be done is board members who are appointed and paid by Onarheim.

It has been extremely quiet and boring here for a long time now, after the commotion in April-May. Price down from 2.8 to 2.3, volume has dried up (even more), number of owners on Nordnett is shrinking, news drought, and RSI is scraping the bottom... That can only mean one thing: Upswing in sight! :-) Anyone still have faith? Anyone dare to guess something regarding Petrofac outcome?
    26.6.

The timing of insider purchases from management / the board is interesting. The company has not yet reported Q1 figures. Primary insiders will therefore easily be in an insider position and normally be restricted from buying/selling shares. Previously, this was categorized as a «red period», and there was a complete halt in trading by insiders. The transactions are reported to stock-watch during the day.
