iShares STOXX Europe 600 Utilities (DE) is an exchange traded fund (ETF) that aims to track the performance of the STOXX® Europe 600 Utilities Index as closely as possible. The ETF invests in physical index securities. The STOXX® Europe 600 Utilities Index offers exposure to the European Utilities sector as defined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). It is a sub index of the STOXX® Europe 600 Index. The STOXX® Europe 600 Index offers exposure to large, mid and small capitalisation stocks from European developed countries. The index is free float market capitalisation weighted. iShares ETFs are funds managed by BlackRock. They are transparent, cost-efficient, liquid vehicles that trade on stock exchanges like normal securities. iShares ETFs offer flexible and easy access to a wide range of markets and asset classes.

·24.12.2025Does anyone have experience with what the real taxation is on this ETF? I mean, it's an ETF that is on the positive list and is mark-to-market taxed, so far I understand. But it is also distributing and pays out dividends. According to an AI answer from a Google search, the interaction is: "Interaction: The dividend is paid to your account, but is offset against the total mark-to-market taxed amount, so you are not double-taxed. The total annual return (dividend + capital appreciation) forms the basis for the tax." Is it also your experience, those who have it, that this is how it is?
·11.10.2025Strange that people aren't more defensive and own an ETF like this. Times are getting tough, energy will be needed a lot in the next few years and there is an industrial venture in Europe that will have to buy power from them.·3.2.10% up since December. I sat down and read up on what EU, nato and other private entities will invest in utilities over the next 10 years. Crazy sums. 540 billion euro by 2030. That is only from EU. One can add much more when one includes nato +++ Then I am observant that we have seen such pushes before, leading up to '08 when it dumped enormously with the financial crisis. But… we are not there
