the answer is "it depends". By buying this ETF, you are betting that it will perform better than the Global Index over time. How long that time is, is up to you to decide. Personally, I believe (my non-financial advisory opinion) that the rearmament is now priced in and it's time to take one's profits and move on to new pastures.
·1.12.2025Newly opened position in this on the stock savings account. An exciting time lies ahead, with a Europe that needs to rearm for billions of dollars! There will be enough orders for all established companies in the industry!
·17.10.2025 · MuokattuThe problem with this defense ETF is that it is overweighted far too much on the American side. It is not the United States that is currently going to arm itself, it is Europe. And Europe will put everything they can into the European industry. Denmark has bought European air defense.... that probably says a little about it. Therefore, it is a "losing" ETF at least for the next year. My advice is to go for Maj invest even though it is expensive. Invest in Europe's defense yourself. It is cheap.
I agree regarding the holding of this ETF, much is American stocks. What alternatives are there where more is invested in European assets within the defense industry? Could Global X Europe Focused Defence Tech UCITS ETF be a good alternative?
