·2 päivää sittenPinterest's P/E ratio has historically not been accurate. The reason it is so low is due to a tax-related contribution in 2024 of approximately 1.6 billion dollars. This powerfully increased net profit, which in turn boosted EPS significantly (was 2.7 dollars for 2024). The more justifiable P/E ratio according to me is 16 (share price) / 0.61 (Diluted EPS for 2025) = 26. Then their future P/E ratio looks better, around 10. Having said that. Pinterest pays a high amount of Stock Based Compensation as salary. But also buys back approximately the same amount (and now a little more). But it's worth taking into account because it's approximately 17 % of their revenue. My tip is to look into this. And not be blinded. I am a shareholder in Pinterest myself and see great potential in their product. My girlfriend, mom, and grandma (!) often hang out there, and leave with a happier and more inspired feeling - which I believe is because they are planning their lives. Which is not the case on Instagram/TikTok etc. WITH 600 million feeling positive about using Pinterest, and many of them being prone to buying and knowing exactly which product (the bikini, sweater, dress, kitchen you see in the picture), I believe that company can explode - if utilized correctly, which it feels like they are trying to move towards. Another thing is that it is extremely popular among young people. No financial advice. Investing in Pinterest is relatively high-risk.
