Iran cannot attack USA with conventional means but they can damage the petrodollar system (the US provides security to the Gulf Monarchies and in return all oil sales are settled in dollars). It's the Iranians best tool to cause trouble for the US and Iran's regional adversary Saudi-Arabia. There are certainly multiple reasons and I don't want to have hubris, but I don't think people really understand the delays and even destruction thathas come from this. One thing people don't seem to realize that if you can't store your oil in silos or tankers because there's no more room, then you have to shut down your oil fields. And turning them back on is not like turning on a water faucet. There's quite a bit of inertia in this industry and I don't think it's priced in fully.- ·13.4.Is this expensive? Or is it the tip of the iceberg?·20.4.Cheap if one can hold it for 3-5 years, then it can certainly move both up and down depending on how the war develops.
