Why these are "deal-breakers" in B2B There are three main reasons why an IT manager in a larger company will almost always choose fiber over Starlink: 1 Risk management: Companies cannot risk an entire department losing access to the cloud because there is a lot of traffic in the area, or because an antenna has to restart due to a software update. 2 Security and architecture: B2B solutions from large ISPs often include advanced security services, dedicated IP addresses, and the possibility of direct lines to data centers (which eliminates the need to route sensitive traffic over the open internet). Starlink is essentially a "publicly available" internet connection. 3 Scaling: When a company needs more capacity, a fiber line is often just a software upgrade at the central office.
