5.2.5.2.They have just started their big carbon capture plant, Stratos. Selling carbon credits and receiving 180USD per ton from OBBBA legislation gives more revenue streams. The captured carbon all have the potential, due to the clean quality, to be fermented into protein, similar to SOLAR FOOD in Finland and AERBIO in Denmark. OXY is no longer “just” an oil company.

23.10.202523.10.2025Oil price is so low, if oil prices start to rise, earnings will raise and P/E will go down. Also currently Oxy has quite a lot of debt due to acquisitions, if oil prices rise, that will also be paid off faster which can increase EPS even more in the future. So if you believe in oil prices going up then it is fairly cheap compared to potential down side and long term EPS can increase a lot. If oil prices never will go up AND interest rates rise, well… that would suck.

Let's see 👀·9.5.2025Oxy is a long shot. I don't think Buffet counted on Trump's tariffs, to the current extent. He has also criticized them quite harshly (being Buffet). But if we can just endure red numbers for a year or so, oil will eventually become expensive again. But it certainly hurts to see a good stock like this fall.
·9.4.2025Soon a good entry here or with little downside? Buy now that there is a market crash and you hit the oil price cycle well. Buffet also likes the company which must be a good bonus?
·13.4.2025We'll see if the price goes down to 20, but this is one of those stocks where you buy when it drops.
