The company stated that its operations supported 29,605 direct, indirect, and induced jobs in 2025, generated approximately $3 billion in labor income, and contributed an estimated $5.8 billion to the US GDP. By 2027, these figures are expected to increase to 39,320 jobs, $4 billion in labor income, and approximately $7.8 billion in GDP contribution, according to the company, citing the study. First Solar also announced that it plans to operate approximately 18 gigawatts of annual solar panel production capacity across six manufacturing facilities in the US by 2027.
