Transmitter masts etc. are pure standard products with low profit margin. China dominates the market.
·1 päivä sittenI work at Ericsson with the core of radio base stations. Mobile networks are the internet on your phone, as the previous speaker commented. Funny claim that "There's no need for mobile networks when everything goes over the internet"...then you don't have very good knowledge of the technology, I presume 😉. Regarding the technology and the insinuation that they are standard products, it also tells me that you haven't sat and developed the hardware and software, or sat in the lab trying to get a new radio up and running....it's anything but standard. If it weren't for the fact that there are still a handful of really skilled, experienced engineers at Ericsson (mostly Swedish), one would never get a functioning radio/base station out because it requires so much knowledge of how they work. So, saying it's simple/standard is completely wrong; then you don't know what you're talking about. Whether the Chinese have equally good products....well, they have illegally copied most of what we have done...so then we at least have equally good products 😂. The point, however, is that they are no longer allowed to sell in most parts of the world due to illegalities on many levels. So then it doesn't really matter how good or bad their products are; it's still only Ericsson and Nokia competing for all contracts in the real world (rogue states excluded, i.e., Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China to some extent).·10 t sittenThe Swedish government imposed a ban on Huawei, against Ericsson's will. Consequently, we lost the entire Chinese market! 
·2 päivää sittenSoon, the American state will probably step in and buy into Ericsson like lntel (Americans don't have a similar company themselves). A lot speaks for Ericsson going forward! (If only the management and executives stay away from bad acquisitions and focus on building the best mobile network and associated services)
