- ·4 t sittenLundin Mining – when copper takes precedence over the stock There is a relationship in Lundin Mining that is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: the copper price and the share price have moved in completely different directions during 2026. In September 2025, LUMI traded around 100–120 kr and then followed copper's strong autumn and winter rally. The stock accelerated all the way up towards just over 300 kr in early 2026. Thereafter, LUMI has entered a long consolidation between approximately 200 and 300 kr. Today, the stock stands around 240–250 kr. At the same time, copper has continued to develop strongly and is near historical peak levels. It is precisely this divergence that makes today's situation so interesting. Since February, copper has risen by about 10 percent while LUMI has fallen by about 20 percent. The market has thus not rewarded Lundin Mining for the significantly improved commodity environment. An important explanation is the sector rotation. Capital has largely been concentrated in AI, technology, and other growth themes, while the mining sector has been overshadowed. But fundamentals cannot be ignored forever. Copper is the main engine Lundin Mining is extremely sensitive to the copper price. In the first half of 2026, copper accounted for approximately 86 percent of the company's revenues, making the copper price the most important external driver for earnings and cash flow. At the same time, business development is strong. In Q2, the company realized a copper price of 6.51 USD/lb and generated 1.21 billion USD in revenues, 658 million USD in adjusted EBITDA, and 396 million USD in adjusted free cash flow. It is difficult to describe this as a company whose fundamentals have deteriorated. Vicuña changes the game plan Then comes perhaps the most important factor: Vicuña. This is no longer just a future option. The project has developed into one of the most important value drivers in all of Lundin Mining. Lundin owns 50 percent together with BHP, and the integrated study describes Vicuña as a project with the potential to become one of the world's five largest copper, gold, and silver mines. The initial mine life exceeds 70 years, and production is expected to average over 500,000 tons of copper per year during the first ten years. The economics are at least as interesting. The study shows an after-tax NPV of 9.5 billion USD at a copper price of 4.60 USD/lb. At 6 USD/lb copper, 5,000 USD gold, and 80 USD silver, the NPV rises to a full **28.8 billion USD**. This shows how strongly Vicuña's value is affected by today's metal prices. Furthermore, the project is approaching concrete decisions. Vicuña has received RIGI PEELP status in Argentina, and an investment decision could come as early as the end of 2026. Is history about to repeat itself? Here, the comparison with spring 2025 becomes interesting. Even then, there was a period where the stock and the commodity market did not fully reflect each other. When sentiment then turned, a strong revaluation occurred, and LUMI entered the big rally that later took the stock from around 100 kr to over 300 kr. Now a similar setup may be building. The difference is that today Lundin has a significantly stronger fundamental case. We are also entering September–January, a period that has historically been strong for the company. At the same time, copper is near record levels, cash flow is strong, and Vicuña is approaching the point where the project moves from a long-term opportunity to a concrete investment decision. Copper demand speaks for a long-term strong market Friday's US jobs figures reduce the risk of a sharp economic downturn. In the longer term, a more stable global economy is positive for copper. Electrification, power grids, renewable energy, electric cars, and above all the enormous global expansion of data centers require large quantities of copper. At the same time, the supply side is problematic. Copper inventories have fallen, and it takes many years to develop new large mines. Therefore, it is not just today's copper price that is interesting. The question is how much copper the world will need over the next 10–20 years – and where that copper will come from. There, Vicuña becomes much more than a usual project trigger. Personal conclusion LUMI has performed weakly during 2026 while the company's most important commodity has continued to rise. Copper has risen – the stock has fallen. Cash flow is strong – the stock is consolidating. Vicuña is growing – but its value is still far from fully visible in the share price. It is an unusual divergence. If copper continues to stay near record levels while Vicuña begins to deliver concrete milestones, the capital flow back to the mining sector could be powerful. Then today's consolidation may prove to have been something entirely different from weakness. It may have been the build-up for the next major revaluation. Spring 2025 showed that the market can ignore a commodity and its company for a period – but when sentiment eventually turns, the revaluation can happen very quickly. For LUMI, the question is therefore not just what copper is doing. The question is when the market starts to price in what Lundin Mining actually possesses. Good luck with your investments, friends.

Too bad one didn't have capital to buy more on the dip..congrats to those who did. 👍 If one looks at the pattern with previous tops and bottoms over the last 3 months, it would gain strength at 244-246. 260 -> 236. 270 - 244. Should give 280 -> 252.
