Looks reasonable. I'm happy with my shares here. The only small disappointment was that: * revenue grew 14% instead of the 15%+ you hoped for, * and EPS grew 11% instead of 15-20%.

Why would Visa announce all those layoffs today, before the actual report? Could it be an attempt to preempt bad news...? Will be interesting to see.

I don't think it's negative. They talked a lot about AI at the last quarterly report. I think it's the future. And Visa is asset light. MA also had something similar on June 3. Based on American Express earnings report and call, they have laid out an aggressive growth plan, and people love to swipe their debit / credit cards. 🤞

Exciting with the earnings report today. I am watching for: Payments Volume (Payments Volume) This is the most important growth driver. I would like to see: 8-10 % or higher growth If volume falls to 5-6 %, the market will start to worry about the global economy. In the latest quarter, payments volume grew 9 %. Cross-border volume This is Visa's most profitable business. I would like to see: 10-15 % growth It tells how international trade and travel activity is developing. Last, total cross-border volume grew 12 %. Processed Transactions It shows how many payments actually run through the Visa network. The goal is: 8-10 % growth It is a good measure of whether more payments are moved from cash to cards and digital solutions. Most recently, the number of transactions grew 9 %. Revenue should continue to grow double-digit. I would like to see: 15 % or more Last, revenue grew 17 %. EPS I expect continued double-digit growth. A strong earnings report will typically show: 15-20 % EPS growth or more Last, adjusted EPS rose 20 %. Guidance The most important point on the conference call. I want to hear if management says something along the lines of: consumption remains strong international travel activity is robust B2B and Money Movement are growing AI and stablecoins create new opportunities growth continues in the second half If they raise expectations, the market often reacts positively. Buybacks Visa is one of the world's best capital allocators. I will look for: how many shares they have bought back whether they announce a new buyback program Last, Visa returned 9,2 mia. USD to shareholders and approved a new 20 mia. USD share buyback program. Key figures currently. ROIC: approx. 35-45 % – among the highest in the world. ROCE: approx. 40-50 % – exceptional return on capital. EPS growth: Long-term 12-15 % per year. In the latest quarter, adjusted EPS rose 20 %, while GAAP EPS rose 36 %. Buybacks: Visa typically reduces the number of shares by 2-3 % per year and has just announced a new 20 mia. USD buyback program. Dividend: Dividend yield around 0,7-0,9 %, but the dividend typically grows double-digit every year. Expected long-term return If Visa continues with the same quality as the last 10-15 years, a realistic long-term return is: EPS growth: 12-15 % Buybacks: 2-3 % Dividend: 0,7-1 % Change in valuation: -1 to +1 % This gives an expected total return of around 15-18 % per year over a longer period.
