Tietoa rahastosta
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide investors with a total return, taking into account both capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the MSCI Emerging Markets Investable Market Index (IMI). In order to achieve this investment objective, the investment policy of the Fund is to invest in a portfolio of equity securities that as far as possible and practicable consist of the component securities of the MSCI Emerging Markets Investable Market Index (IMI), the Fund’s Benchmark Index. The Fund intends to replicate the constituents of the Benchmark Index by holding all the securities comprising the Benchmark Index in a similar proportion to their weightings in the Benchmark Index. In order to replicate its Benchmark Index.

Toki ilmeisesti jonkinlaista valuuttariskiä ainakin on..? Onko jotain verotuksellisia ongelmia tuon usd vuoksi? Tätä nyt olen kuitenkin iloisesti ostanut 😅·1 päivä sittenThe most important thing is to distinguish between the fund's base currency, the trading currency, and the real currency risk. When USD is in the name of iShares Core MSCI EM IMI UCITS ETF, it primarily concerns the fund's base currency, i.e., the currency the fund uses for accounting and reporting. This does not necessarily mean that you, as an investor, buy the ETF in dollars. The version you bought on Nordnet as IS3N is normally traded in euro on Xetra. If Nordnet shows EUR in your portfolio, then it is euro you are buying and selling the ETF in. Therefore, there is no automatic extra USD exchange for you, just because the fund's base currency is USD. However, there can still be currency exchange costs, but in your case, they typically concern the relationship between Danish kroner and euro. If your account is in DKK, and the ETF is traded in EUR, an exchange from kroner to euro is required upon purchase. On Nordnet's monthly savings plan, you do not pay a regular brokerage fee, but there can still be a currency spread, i.e., a small cost for the exchange. If you already have euro in a currency account and buy with them, you avoid the ongoing DKK/EUR exchange with each purchase, but then you have, of course, had an exchange earlier when you moved money from kroner to euro. The currency risk does not disappear, but it is not primarily due to the fund's base currency being USD. It lies in the shares the ETF owns. IS3N invests broadly in emerging markets, for example, companies from Taiwan, South Korea, India, China, and other countries. Therefore, the value is affected by the local stock markets and currencies. If a currency in one of those countries falls in relation to the euro, it can affect your value measured in euro. Conversely, currency movements can also go the other way. This is a normal part of investing globally. Tax-wise, it is also not the USD in the name that is usually decisive. What is decisive is which account type you use and how the ETF is taxed according to Danish rules. In a regular securities account, one must especially be aware of whether the ETF is on Skat's positive list. ETFs are typically taxed according to the mark-to-market principle, which means you can be taxed on the year's gain, even if you have not sold. So, in short: USD in the name is not a problem in itself. You are likely buying the ETF in euro if it is IS3N on Xetra. The most important practical cost is therefore a potential DKK/EUR exchange at Nordnet. The actual currency risk comes from the countries and companies the ETF invests in. This is not a mistake, but something one must understand as a normal part of a broad emerging markets ETF.

You need to switch to a Danish investment association to get realization-based taxation. The only thing Dist does on a free custody account is add costs for reinvestment, especially if you don't have a currency account.
